About the Owner:
Craig Anderson has been teaching and tutoring for over 20 years, starting when he was finishing his Physics and Applied Mathematics double major at UC Berkeley. Craig has helped countless students get through difficult coursework and pass intimidating tests. Although subject knowledge is a critical part of his success, Craig has always felt that this is not the most important aspect of his teaching. Helping students understand a concept is often the first hurdle. Once true understanding is achieved, students will remember the concept more easily and they’ll be able to use this knowledge in more flexible ways. After that, it is important to help students foster a sense that success is possible for them. Give them a chance to really feel what it’s like when they achieve something that seemed impossible before and this can help make the next success feel more attainable - and can lead them on a path towards more confidence in themselves.
